The relentless winds died down.
The rising waters receded.
The neighbors came out
To see what all was needed.

The many hazards were weighed.
The massive damage was assessed.
The neighbors came out
To clean up what was messed.

The rescues bravely were conducted.
The injured swiftly were treated.
The neighbors came out
To help those felt defeated.

The missing and dead were mourned.
The properties were rebuilt on.
The neighbors came out
To say farewell to Milton.
