Obsession with Poe

Edgar Allen Poe, man of tragedy,
Sadness from childhood to maturity.
A life imitated by gripping art;
A soul who comes up with The Tell Tale Heart
And My Beautiful Annabellee.

A cat all black and full of mystery,
Whimsical, light-hearted, and fancy free,
With sharp claws that scratch and tear things apart,
With such personality, it would confound Descartes.
Edgar Allen Poe

A car that is strong from tires to chassis;
A machine that’s sturdy, stable, and classy.
Down life’s highway, it travels like a dart.
Such freedom and fun it gives with each start.
Edgar Allen Poe

Three different things all named so fondly,
Edgar Allen Poe

    He’s always been my favorite, too!

    1. A classic for sure. The Tell-Tale Heart captivated me when I first read it.
