One Couple’s Castle

In a Germanic castle, in a far away land,
Horns were heard trumpeting, so rich and so grand.

The King was running back and forth on the court,
Happy to be playing such a fine regal sport.

The Queen was sitting by her two windowsills,
painting the landscape beyond the Green hills.

Around the moat, the castle cat and castle dog
Were playfully chasing the green castle frog.

Every day they did as they thoughtfully pleased
Their life had meaning, but it also had ease.

They started each day with a prayerful routine
In their stained glass chapel, warm and serene.

The Queen practiced yoga on a fine silken mat,
Accompanied right beside was her limber pet cat.

The King practiced playing his golden brass horn,
Always to rejoice and never to mourn.

Everything was peaceful. Everything was pleasant.
They dined on roast beef and they dined on pheasant.

They ended each night with a performance or show,
Then slept in their chamber via moonlight’s soft glow.

They often would travel to visit other royal relations,
Or go off on adventures and have foreign vacations.

There was never a worry. There was never an hassle,
In this Germanic land, far away in a castle.
