Some people find therapy in their kitchen while baking.
Some people find it on a hike they are taking.

Others may find it while gardening in soils.
Still others may find it on the canvas with oils.

Some people find it while reading a book,
far away from the noise
in a small, quiet nook.

Other people find it acting out on the stage.
While others may find it filling up a blank page.

Some people find it on a vigorous run.
And once in a while, in a hot cinnamon bun.

A few find it while fishing on a tranquil lake,
Or playing an instrument
To hear the soothing sounds one can make.

Often one finds it while talking to professionals.
But others prefer giving private confessionals.

Many people find it down on their knees
Praying to God
For their troubles to ease.

Some people find it in a cathartic cry.
But no one should find it in wishing they die.

We all need something to distract us now and then,
To take a small breather
Till it becomes better again.

As long as it causes no harm or wrong notions,
Find a favorite outlet for unwanted emotions.

Whatever you do to find some peace within,
Find what that is and let the healing begin.

My favorite…
I believe ever so intensely,
That praying to God
Has helped me immensely!
