Thankful and Content

Photo by Jon Tyson on Unsplash

I have food in my belly
And a roof over my head.
I’m not quite healthy,
But, I’m not quite dead.

When my feet are sore,
I love it all the more,
Cause I could not even
Feel my feet before.

When I feel an ache
Or a sharp or dull pain,
I know I’m still alive,
So I can’t complain.

I have friends I can call
And family who love me,
Which makes me content
And as thankful as can be!
