Anyone Can Be A Superhero

Outside of my child’s fifth story hospital room
Swung a man from the rooftops in hero costume.

With squeegee and sprayer, a few swipes and a rinse,
He hung on to his “webbing” with great Spidey sense.

He washed the dull panes so the sun could brightly shine through,
In a gloomy little room, he staged a more cheerful view.

He quickly finished the job like an acrobatic pro,
And gave us a wave before he descended below.

He could have just worn old boots and overalls,
But he wore a cool costume while risking great falls.

And while he was hired just to clean up the place,
His efforts put a smile on my son’s unhappy face.

He’s one of the best superheroes I know,
Though all he had to do was wash our window.
