Whatever treasure lies deep under the sea
Belongs to the fishes now, let’s leave it be.

Let’s not visit the deep simply like it’s a museum,
Things buried so deep, we might never retrieve them.

Let’s not risk our lives for shards of pottery
Finally resting in graves that are watery.

Let’s not be so greedy for lost chests of gold:
Searching when young, we might never grow old.

Whatever treasure lies deep under the sea
Belongs to the fishes, now let’s leave it be.
