One Day with You

One day, I’d love to walk with you
Holding hands, side by side,
To run to you from far away,
Our bodies to collide.

One day, I’d love to stand and hug
Without holding on so tight
For fear of falling, not from wanting
To dance close with you all night.

One day, I’d love to freely move,
Less work for you not to tire.
You help so much in every way.
For that, it’s you that I admire.

Until that day, stand by me
Patiently while I sit,
Knowing that no matter what,
On me, I’ll never quit.
