Judging Appearances

It is a fear…
Being distant and too guarded
Might make one seem a bit cold-hearted.
But that might not be the case
If looking closely at their face.
They might be saddened or be scared,
Not the fact that they’ve not cared.
They might be putting up a front-
And to be just downright blunt-
You shouldn’t judge them solely,
Acting all righteous and unholy.
Unless you get to know them well,
One can’t instantly just tell
Just how or what they’re feeling.
So, you shouldn’t go on reeling
About how distant and cold-hearted
They appear…
