When the Day Changes

heart on a fogged up window

How lovely is a summer’s day
When nothing seems amiss,
When clouds are white and blossoms bloom
As if in a sun drenched kiss.

But, what if something happens
And makes you feel all wrong?
The day seems long and dreary,
The birds, they lose their song.

What can you do to remember
How bright the day did start?
Cry a little, find a friend,
And open up your heart!
