One Good Year Deserves Another

January, my birthday time.
February, a love of mine.
March, I hear St. Patrick chime.

First quarter of the year for me
Is filled with happy harmony.

April, month of sister’s birth.
May, the sun’s warmth comes back to Earth.
June, the beach calls with sand and surf.

Half the year spent in splendor.
Makes me yearn for sweet surrender.

July, the fourth to celebrate.
August, first classes begin at eight.
September, greens depreciate.

Third quarter, the end of the year
To my surprise is truly near.

October, Halloween’s a fright.
November, thanks I bring to light.
December, Christ was born one night!

Last quarter of the year has ended.
May the new one be just as splendid.

Happy New Year!
